Part-Time Nanny, Norwalk, CT

Part-Time Nanny needed in Norwalk, CT for one child, age 1 year old

Location: Norwalk, CT

Compensation: $30–$35 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 10:00am - 4:00pm

• Thursday: 12:30pm - 4:30pm

• Opportunity for up to 35 hours of work per week if the candidate desires

Start Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities:

• Safely transporting children to and from school and activities (family will provide a car for use)

• Preparing meals for the child

• Help with very basic meal prep for the parents (ex. cooking quinoa or grilling a bag of chicken one day per week)

• Laundry for the family

• Engage the child in developmentally appropriate and educational play

• As the child ages, assistance with potty training

• Light household tasks

• Restocking any necessary child-related items (diapers, wipes, etc)

Must-Haves:

• Comfortable with dogs (family has 1 medium sized certified therapy dog, no pet care required)

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a similar role

• Maturity and the ability to use good judgment to solve problems

• Open, clear, and consistent communication with parents

Agency Requirements:

• Intent to make a long-term commitment

• Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record

• 21+ years of age

• Minimum of a high school diploma

• Willing to participate in a criminal background check and social media screening

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

• Relevant job history with outstanding references
