NCS, Darien CT (December 2025 Start)
NCS needed for a professional family in Darien CT with 1 child, newborn due in December 2025
Location: Darien, CT
Pay: $30-35 per hour
Schedule:
Months 0-2: 24/7 care for the child (could be 1 person doing 24 hr shifts, or 2 people doing 12 hr shifts)
Months 2-5: 12 hr evening care for the newborn
Months 6+: 12 hour day or evening care for the child a few times/week
Start date: December 3, 2025
Live-in accommodations: Family lives in a single-family home with a nursery at the end of the hall. Nursery has its own bathroom and will have a full-size bed in the room for the NCS to use.

Responsibilities include:
24/7 childcare for 1 child, newborn
Laundry for the child
Everything pertaining to the care of a newborn– changing diapers, feeding support, sanitizing bottles, putting the child down for naps, helping with sleep training, soothing the child back to sleep if he wakes, bathing the child
Educating/coaching the parents on how to care for their newborn, as they are both new parents
Maintaining a calm and kind demeanor
Letting the dogs outside if the parents are gone for periods longer than 4 hours
Must-Haves:
Recent NCS experience required
Comfortable around dogs (family has a 60lb lab and a 15lb french bulldog)- this is incredibly important to the family
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
COVID vaccinated, Tdap vaccinated
Infant CPR/First Aid certified
Newborn care certified
Kind and caring personality
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
Maturity and ability to use own judgement to solve problems
Open and communicative with parents
Preferences
Experience raising own child(ren) preferred!
Agency Requirements:
Intent to make a long-term commitment to a role
Candidates should have a valid CT driver’s license and have a clean driving record
21+ years of age
Minimum of a high-school diploma
Willing to participate in a criminal background check and social media check
Legally authorized to work in the US
Have a relevant job history with outstanding references
