Full-Time Nanny, New Canaan, CT
Full-time nanny needed for a family in New Canaan, CT with 1 child, 3 years old (and hoping for a second child soon).
Location: New Canaan, CT
Pay: Competitive hourly rate
Schedule (note that the family has flexibility to slightly adjust the hours based on the nanny’s preferences):
Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Friday 11:30am - 3:30 pm
Start date: Flexible (as early as mutually agreed upon)

Responsibilities include:
Organizing and initiating the child’s schedule
Engaging the child in imaginative, developmental, and playful activities
Being proactive in thinking of new activities as the child grows that stimulate and aid in development
Provide nurturing, age-appropriate care for a toddler
Cooking for the child
Doing laundry for the child
Cleaning up after the child (picking up in the child’s bedroom, cleaning up after the child has meals, etc)
Occasionally running errands and coordinating appointments (only to be done when the child is at school)
Supervising swimming outings in public settings
Safely transporting the child to and from activities (vehicle provided)
Must-Haves:
Comfortable with dogs (family has 1 Golden Retriever, no pet care is required from the nanny)
Recent toddler experince
Experience caring for newborns
Safe driver with a clean driving record
Strong swimmer
COVID vaccinated
Willingness to grow with the family as they plan for a second child
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
Maturity and ability to use own judgement to solve problems
Open and communicative with parents
Preferences:
Very communicative with the child, as the child is very communicative
Strong developmental knowledge and ability to set healthy boundaries
Agency Requirements:
Intent to make a long-term commitment to a role
Candidates should have a valid CT driver’s license and have a clean driving record
18+ years of age
Minimum of a high-school diploma
Willing to participate in a criminal background check and social media check
Legally authorized to work in the US
Have a relevant job history with outstanding references
