Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant, Scarsdale NY

Full-time nanny/ family assistant needed for a professional father in Scarsdale NY with 3 children, ages 9, 12, and 14 years old.

Location: Scarsdale, NY

Pay: TBD based on experience

Schedule:A nanny with flexibility needed. The boys are with the father 6 out of 14 night, and the family operates on a two-week schedule.

• Week 1:

  • Boys are with the father from Wednesday after school through Friday before school

  • Monday-Tuesday care is not needed

  • Wednesday: noon - 8pm

  • Thursday: 7am - 7pm

  • Friday: care only needed if child cannot attend school and father is unable to work from home that day

  • Saturday- Sunday: care is not needed

• Week 2:

  • Boys are with father from Thursday after school through Monday before school

  • Monday- Wednesday care is not needed

  • Thursday: noon - 8pm

  • Friday: 7am - 7pm

  • Saturday & Sunday: hours TBD based on children’s sport schedules

Start date: January 2025

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising the completion of homework when father is not home

• Driving the children (family will provide a vehicle for nanny to use)

• Packing school lunches for the children

• Preparing healthy varied meals for the entire family (note: 12 year old has a tree nut allergy, so nanny must be mindful when cooking)

• Doing laundry for the entire family

• Helping to run errands, including grocery shopping

• Helping to care for the family dog when the father is at work- the father will hire a dog walker for days when the nanny is not working, but expects that the nanny is dog friendly and can also assist with basic pet care when she is working at the house

• Possible swim supervision for the children (the family has a pool on the property)

Must-Haves:

• Able to drive

• Comfortable with dogs

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar role

• Maturity and ability to use own judgement to solve problems

• Open and communicative with parents

Preferences:

• Strong swimmer is preferred, but not required, as the father can hire a lifeguard as needed

Agency Requirements:

• Intent to make a long-term commitment to a role

• Candidates should have a valid CT driver’s license and have a clean driving record

•  21+ years of age

• Minimum of a high-school diploma

• Willing to participate in a criminal background check and social media check

• Legally authorized to work in the US

• Have a relevant job history with outstanding references
