Part-Time Nanny/Housekeeper, Monroe, CT

Part-time nanny/housekeeper needed for a family in Monroe, CT with 4 children, ages 5 years, 3 years, 1 year, and a newborn due in December 2025

Location: Monroe, CT

Pay: $37 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday - Wednesday, 12pm - 5pm

  • Thursday and Friday, 9am - 4pm

  • NOTE: the family can be flexible on the hours offered for the right candidate

Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities include:

  • Laundry for the children, including their linens

  • Ensuring the kitchen is kept tidy- this would include keeping the refrigerator clean, unloading the dishwasher, and taking the trash out

  • Taking the trash barrels out on trash collection days

  • Running errands for the family, including grocery shopping and dry cleaning

  • Helping to transport one of the children to an afternoon activity if the parents have a schedule conflict (car provided for use)

  • Bringing the children to the library on Thursday mornings

  • Playing with the 3 year old at the house on Friday mornings

  • Occasionally supervising the children as they take swim lessons (must be comfortable in the pool to help with lessons if needed)

  • Meal prep and cooking for the children

  • Letting the family dogs outside (family has an invisible fence, so no need to take the dogs on walks)

Must-Haves:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred

  • Recent newborn experience required

  • Comfortable working alongside a stay-at-home mom and a work from home dad

  • Strong swimmer required

  • Comfortable with pets (family has 2 dogs and 2 cats)

  • Experience with multiples preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19

  • CPR/First Aid certified

  • Excellent communication and attention to detail

Agency Requirements:

  • Intent to make a long-term commitment to a role

  • Candidates should have a valid US driver’s license and have a clean driving record

  • 18+ years of age

  • Minimum of a high-school diploma

  • Willing to participate in a criminal background check and social media check

  • Legally authorized to work in the US

  • Have a relevant job history with outstanding references
