Part-Time Live-Out Nanny, Monroe CT, j-20627
Part-time live-out nanny needed for a professional family in Monroe CT with 1 child, age 16 months old
Location: Monroe, CT
Compensation: $28-$35 per hour, paid via payroll
Schedule:
Monday and Tuesday, 9am - 2pm
Wednesday - Friday, 9am - 3pm
Occasional flexibility with start/end times required
Occasional evening and weekend help appreciated
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, hands-on care for 16 month old toddler
Support age-appropriate milestone development, including language acquisition, social-emotional growth, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and early problem-solving abilities
Plan and facilitate engaging developmental activities such as reading, sensory play, music, imaginative play, arts and crafts, and outdoor exploration
Encourage curiosity, independence, confidence, and healthy communication through positive reinforcement and responsive caregiving
Assist with the establishment and maintenance of healthy routines, including meals, naps, transitions, and daily structure
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play
Take the child on walks, outdoor adventures, and community outings as age-appropriate
Monitor developmental progress and communicate observations, milestones, and accomplishments with parents
Support emotional regulation, early social skills, and positive behavioral development through gentle guidance and consistency
Maintain a screen-free, interactive environment focused on enrichment, exploration, and active engagement
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for child
Child-related cleanup, sanitation and organization
Family laundry (periodically)
Light household support and organization
Occasional care of family pets, including letting the dogs in/out into the fenced yard and providing fresh water/food
Travel with the family as available
Must-haves:
Comfortable with pets (family has 2 friendly German Shepherds and a cat)
Comfortable with parents who work from home
Able to travel with the family, with advanced notice (family travels 1-2 times per year, primarily within the continental US, and may ask that nanny accompany them)
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of toddler development and milestone progression
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
CPR/First Aid certified
Excellent communication and attention to detail
Reliable, proactive, and highly dependable
Fluent in English
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Non-smoker/vaper
Must pass drug screening
Agency Requirements:
Intent to make a long-term commitment to a role
Willing to be paid via payroll
Candidates should have a valid US driver’s license and have a clean driving record
21+ years of age
Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified/renew certification upon hire
Minimum of a high-school diploma
Willing to participate in a criminal background check and social media check
Legally authorized to work in the US
Have a relevant job history with outstanding references
