Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant Darien CT J-20428
Full-time live-out nanny/family assistant needed for a professional family in Darien CT with 4 children, ages 9 years, 7 years, 3 years, and 18 months old. Nanny will be working alongside the family’s current full-time caregiver.
Location: Darien, CT
Compensation: $35-$40+ per hour
Schedule:
Monday, 8AM - 7PM
Tuesday, 11AM - 7PM
Wednesday, 8AM - 7PM
Thursday, 11AM - 7PM
Friday: 11AM - 7pm
Total of 46 hours of work per week
Start Date: As soon as the family finds the right fit

Responsibilities:
Prepare healthy meals/snacks for the children. Cooking for the whole family is preferred, but not required
Manage the children’s schedules and ensure they arrive at school and activities on time
Supervise the children as they swim (strong swimmer is required, family has a pool and a pond on the property)
Drive the children to and from school and activities (family will provide a car for use - do note that the family’s current nanny does not drive, so driving the children will be one of the main responsibilities. Mom will help with some driving as her schedule allows)
Laundry for the family (children and parents)
Run errands for the family, including grocery shopping
Manage appointments for the household
Overnight care for the children on occasion if needed (with advanced notice)
Traveling with the family on vacations (with advanced notice)
Planning age-appropriate activities, outings, and engaging play
Maintaining organization of child-related spaces
Supporting a smooth, well-run daily household rhythm
Must-haves:
Strong attention to detail, strong schedule management skills
Comfortable working alongside the family’s current nanny and a work-from-home mom
Highly adaptable and comfortable with a role that will evolve over time: Family is looking for someone with significant flexibility as schedules, routines, and responsibilities shift seasonally and as the children grow older
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Experience with multiple-child households
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Confident swimmer
CPR/First Aid certified
Travel flexibility preferred
Overnight flexibility preferred
Excellent communication and attention to detail
Agency Requirements:
Intent to make a long-term commitment to a role
Willing to be paid via payroll
Candidates should have a valid US driver’s license and have a clean driving record
21+ years of age
Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified/renew certification upon hire
Minimum of a high-school diploma
Willing to participate in a criminal background check and social media check
Legally authorized to work in the US
Have a relevant job history with outstanding references
